Irish Photography Hides was founded by Richard Duff, a passionate amateur wildlife photographer. Located on Richard’s family farm in Ballyfin, our hides began as a personal project, where Richard spent every Sunday capturing stunning wildlife shots. As word spread about the hides and the incredible opportunities they offer, photographers from across the country and beyond began to visit.
Now a family-run business, Irish Photography Hides is operated with the help of Richard’s daughter, Aisling, and his brother, David. Together, we’re proud to provide a unique experience for wildlife photographers of all levels.

Our hides are designed with your comfort in mind, featuring on-site parking for convenience, washroom facilities, and a cosy stove along with heaters to keep you warm as you observe and photograph the local wildlife. Whether you’re here for a few hours or an entire day, we aim to provide a relaxing and enjoyable setting to capture those perfect wildlife moments.
